An important part of his spiritual journey has been the daily practice of centering prayer meditation, as well as his own spiritually significant psychedelic experiences. Brian views psychedelics as tools for spiritual growth and the development of one's relationship with God.
For his dissertation, Rev. Dr. Brian Rajcok researched spiritually significant psychedelic experiences. His dissertation was titled: The Lived Experience of Professional Mental Health Clinicians with Spiritually Significant Psychedelic Experiences. In this study, Brian interviewed professional mental health clinicians who have had their own spiritually signiticant psychedelic experiences. In this presentation, Brian will present a summary of his findings, share some powerful stories and quotations from interview participants, and reflect on the implications of these findings for both the fields of mental health and theology/religion.
