Curious to hear more about “Breathwork For Transformation”?

Breathwork For Transformation

Breathwork is a therapeutic practice that involves consciously controlling one's breathing patterns to improve mental, emotional, and physical well-being. While modern breathwork practices have gained popularity in recent decades, the roots of breathwork can be traced back through thousands of years of human history.

The recognition of the connection between breath and consciousness is evident in various ancient traditions. In India, pranayama, a yogic practice involving breath control, has been a core component of spiritual and health practices for centuries. Similarly, in ancient China, Qigong and Tai Chi incorporate breath regulation to cultivate vital energy and promote health.

In the Western world, the resurgence of interest in breathwork began in the 20th century. Figures like Wilhelm Reich explored the relationship between breath and emotional expression, developing techniques aimed at releasing physical and emotional tension. Stanislav Grof introduced Holotropic Breathwork, which combines accelerated breathing with evocative music to induce altered states of consciousness and facilitate personal growth.

Breathwork has also found a place in psychedelic-assisted therapy. It can be used in preparation for psychedelic experiences to help individuals cultivate a sense of safety and relaxation. During psychedelic sessions, breathwork can support emotional release and integration. In post-psychedelic integration, breathwork can help individuals process and embody their experiences.

We will be using breathing exercises to effect a transformation of our psyche in a way that can powerfully open us up. Following yoga practice and before a ketamine session many have found these a powerful combination to touch deeper parts of ourselves.

We look forward to seeing you…
